About US

The NIMIT library (Nibodhi) is the main source of information resources for the academic community of Naipunnya Institute of Management and Information Technology. The library is situated at the basement of the main block. All the members of the staff and students are entitled to utilise the library resources and services for their research, learning, and teaching. The library has a collection of more than 14400 books, arround 60 plus journals and magazines (national & international) and 10 newspapers in English and vernacular language. Library also provides access to ebooks, ejournals and other eresources to the staff and students.

 

Library Rules

  • Students should maintain silence in the library.
  • Library is open from 9.00 AM to .4.30 PM on all week days and from 9.00 AM to 4.00 pm on Saturdays except second Saturdays.
  • Students must produce their ID card for any library service. Loss of the card must be reported immediately to the Librarian.
  • Members must scan their id card while entering and exiting the library.
  • Users should keep their belongings in the property counter before entering the library.
  • Looks are classified as per DDC system and  shelved accordingly.
  • Newly added books are displayed in New Arrival Display Rack.
  • UG Students  camn borrow 2 books at a time and PG students can borrow 3 books at a time for a period of one week which is renewable. 
  • Faculty members can borrow 8 books for a period of one month.
  • Overdue books will be charged rupees 5/ per day.
  • Members should not scrib or damage library books/ periodicals.
  • Library users should not take issued books again into the library tack room.
  • Reference books and periodicals are not issued; they could be be referred within the library.
  • When a book is urgently required, the Librarian may recall the book at any time even before the due date.
  • Users are not allowed to reshelf books after removing them from the shelf. They leave the books on the table.
  • If the books borrowed from the library are lost the matter must be reported to the librarian immediately. The member has to replace the same or later edition of the lost book within a week’s time. If the replacement is not possible, the members shall pay thrice the amount of the lost book.
